I love to learn. Always have, and I am pretty sure I always will. My interests started with a small group of topics when I was younger: animals, the human body, dance. But as a grew so did my interests, to a point where I don’t really care about what the topic is as long as I feel challenged while learning.
Growing up, whenever my brother and I had a question my parents would tell us to look it up in the encyclopedia (remember those?), or if it was a question concerning a word, the dictionary.
While there are an impossible number of topics to be learned, we can acquire information very easily nowadays, which for someone like me, can be exciting as well as overwhelming. The problem is always the same, “so much to do, so little time!” In the end I find myself jumping from one thing to the next. Now I would like to change that. I want to become more focused. To be able to decide on a skill to learn and stick with it long enough so I can benefit from it.
I also know that I love learning together with others. It serves two purposes: motivation and accountability. It is like when you go work out because you know your friend is waiting for you at the gym. I guess you could say I created this blog to become my “gym”, and I hope to build a community of friends that will want to “work out” with me.
My vision for this blog is to write on a number of topics that overall share the same goal: self-improvement. The topics will include finance, nutrition, fitness, and personal development. You will be able to join me in my 30 day challenges, as well as set monthly goals with me.
I invite you to join me on this journey. It does not matter where you are starting from, just where you want to go.
Are you ready?
Please feel free to comment and/or send me a message. Do you have suggestions for this blog? I would love to hear from you!
